Ricoh IM C6500

The Ricoh IM C6500 is a production-class color laser MFP that brings print-shop capability into a department or in-plant operation. It runs at 65 ppm in both black and color, supports SRA3+ and banner stock with full-bleed printing on three edges, and ships with 3,700 sheets standard input expandable to 8,100 sheets. Print resolution maxes at 2,400 x 4,800 dpi using VCSEL imaging and PxP toner — the same imaging stack Ricoh uses on its Pro C series light-production printers. The 220-sheet SPDF scans at 120 ipm simplex / 240 ipm duplex with full-color and B&W at the same rate. The 10.1" Smart Operation Panel is the same Android-based UI as the IM C6010 series, so a Ricoh shop trains operators once. Standard connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus Bluetooth and NFC on the panel; Wi-Fi and fax are optional. Full inline finishing is available — 3,000-sheet finishers, booklet finishers with saddle-stitch, multi-folding units, 4,400-sheet LCT — letting you produce mailing pieces, perfect-bound-style booklets, and folded brochures without outsourcing. The thing buyers regret: footprint and electrical. This is a 551-lb chassis and the C8000 sibling needs 208-240V/12A. Right call if you're insourcing print volume that's currently going to a vendor; wrong call as a glorified office MFP.
